IMP CAES M AVREL ANTONINVS AVG P M Bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder and behind his neck. Rev. CONCORD AVGVSTOR TR P XV / COS III Marcus Aurelius, togate on the left, and Lucius Verus, togate on the right, standing facing each other and clasping their right hands; in his left hand, Marcus Aurelius holds a scroll. BMC 849. Cohen 45. RIC 795. Boldly struck on a very broad and heavy flan. A wonderful sestertius with a very attractive dark olive green patina and a beautiful portrait. Very minor smoothing, otherwise, about extremely fine.
